Tour of Australia prior to New Zealand 13th World Corriedale Congress. Friday March 16th - Thursday March 22nd
Friday 16th March Fly into Tullamarine, Melbourne arriving late morning. Once clear of customs depart by bus for Ballarat. Arrive at accommodation SOVEREIGN PARK MOTOR INN. Visit Sovereign Hill, famous for its history of Gold mining in Australia or visit the Ballarat Wildlife Park to see our Australian animals.
Saturday 17th March Depart by bus for the Western District, to visit Stanbury and Gambier View Corriedale Studs together with other properties. Other Corriedale Studs will be displaying their sheep at the properties visited. Evening meal at Stanbury Corriedale Stud Overnight in Camperdown at the CASCADE MOTEL
Sunday 18th March Depart Camperdown to tour the Twelve Apostles and coastline. Arrive at Liberton Corriedale Stud late afternoon.
Visiting Studs have been invited to display their sheep together with Liberton Corriedales. Evening meal at Liberton Corriedale Stud Overnight in Geelong at the MERCURE HOTEL
Monday 19th March Depart Geelong, drive by bus around the Port Phillip Bay to visit the Lara Wool Stores, then on to Melbourne Airport and arrive at approx 11am Fly to Tasmania. Arrive in Launceston early afternoon and board bus to Quamby Plains Corriedale Stud for lunch followed by tour of Launceston. Evening, a Dinner Hosted by Tasmanian Breeders Overnight at the INNKEEPERS COLONIAL MOTOR INN
Tuesday 20th March Leave hotel in bus and visit Kuranda Corriedale Flock and then visit the Ross Craft Centre. Lunch at Streanshalh Corriedale Stud. Visiting studs will have their sheep on display. Depart Launceston and arrive Sydney Accommodation PACIFIC INTERNATIONAL APARTMENTS
Wednesday 21st March Day in Sydney at your leisure
Thursday 22nd March Depart from Sydney for New Zealand
Cost of Tour
The cost per person will be between $800 to $900 AUD (depending on the number of people who come) for the tour and includes all accommodation, travel and airfares within Australia. This does not include the air flight from Australia to New Zealand. Most accommodation includes breakfast. Occasionally you will be required to purchase your lunches and dinner.
